The TAPE-21 Series
These masking tape drawings were initiated during the winter of 2021 and initially they were tangential explorations. Coming from a "hard-edge" reductive painting background, I started to notice interesting qualities from the masking tape itself that I was using. This started, what became an extended series of drawings using just tape on paper. They were quick as there was no waiting for paint to dry.
